Thanks for reading! What do you think? Do you think doctrinal truth is an essential part of being an evangelist? Let me know in the comments. 👇

This is really good. This actually inspired my post "Protestants DO NOT Preach the Gospel" as we truly do preach different Gospels. You can't pull a C.S Lewis and do "mere Gospel" for if you did, it would only be found in the Catholic Church. We really do not preach the same Gospel, and the Spirit of indifferentism or "kindness" to promote dialogue is off putting.

I know if I were on a Protestant show, I would say that they are heretics who need to repent. I think it is less loving to let people think the Catholic Church is not relevant to one's salvation. And we should not promote heretics like we would great Saints of the past. It is truly inconsistent. Bravo on this one my friend

Thank you for your kind words!

To be clear for any family or friends who may read the comments, I’m definitely grateful for how God used Protestantism to bring me to the church (love of scripture, relationship with God, putting him first, etc!)

But I wrote this because of Protestants that I’ve spoken with who are confused about what Catholics believe because of things like ecumenicism. In Protestant circles we called it being “seeker friendly.” There is a place for this but many get confused by promoting people like Wes, who I definitely consider to be doing great work on many things, but he clearly does not think people should be Catholic. We have to be careful we don’t unintentionally create a Christianity that is indifferent to the dangers of being outside the Church.

Furthermore, this is going to be further complicated with the recent movements and excommunications of the SSPX.

Thanks again for reading!!!

Not if you reside in the Ape of the Church.

Are you referring to a quote from Bishop Fulton Sheen’s?
