“All the denominations have something wrong in their doctrines, but God is working through all of them.” But then what does it mean to be led into all truth?
When I was confirmed/received into the Catholic Church I had to make the following profession of faith: “I believe and profess all that the holy Catholic Church believes, teaches, and proclaims to be revealed by God.”
I think that you’ve touched on something here. I’ve noticed that many outside the Church do not realize the extensive catechesis required to enter into it and the ceremonies that occur after the RCiA.
It’s not merely volunteering for a few months and coming into the church member rolls.
It’s more like getting married. Lots of discernment and contemplation about what this decision means for the rest of your life.
With other denoms, it is baked in that if something happens that you don’t like, you can just leave for some place you do.
