My Friend from Seminary Went on Keith Nester's Podcast!
Seminary, regardless of your Christian tradition, is a challenging time. Intellectually, it requires a Herculean effort to make it through. But few experiences reveal how united the heart and mind are. I’ve tried to convey that to many of my friends and family, but I’ve always felt like I could have done better. I should have said this or that to give a more concrete example of my thought, or I end up “daisy-chaining,” and somehow a conversation that started out about seminary ends in Jordan Peterson and Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn.
Regardless, my friend crushed it in this interview about his conversion to the Catholic Church. He grew up Baptist, as did I, and then got into the Charismatic movement. Did some crazy stuff — you gotta listen! But Chase is incredibly thoughtful in his approach to theological issues. He’s one of those rare intellectuals who always keeps in mind that the head and the heart when he is talking about his faith. I hope you take the time to listen to a little bit of his story.
God Bless
